West Ham striker Simone Zaza’s agent and father has said the player’s time at the London club has come to an end. Antonio Zaza was speaking to the Corriere Dello Sport to confirm that the 25 year old has played his final game for the Hammers.

The Italian newspaper (translated by HITC) quoted him as saying that the Italian international is hopeful of joining Valencia, managed by his former national team coach Cesare Prandelli:

“The adventure of Simone at West Ham is finished and we are considering different situations for his future. We deal with Valencia, but it is not the only concrete situation we are considering. Clearly my son would love to be coached by a great coach that is Cesare Prandelli.”

Antonio Zaza did however say that the move to Spain was not cut and dry. He could yet still play for another Italian club although he won’t play again for Juventus once he returns to Turin when West Ham terminate the player’s loan spell next month.

“But it is possible that Simone could return to play in Serie A. We are not considering the possibility of a return to Juventus, from this point of view we are far, very far indeed.”

Serie A sides AC Milan, Napoli and Lazio have all been linked with Zaza, but it looks as though Napoli, in particular, have turned their attentions elsewhere and are close to securing the signing of Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti before the January transfer window opens.
