Agent Vincenzo Morabito has denied West Ham have contacted Juventus about the possibility of changing their loan agreement for striker Simone Zaza.

Morabito was working on Juventus’s end of the negotiations in Zaza’s move to the Hammers in the summer but in an interview with Juvenews.eu, he said no discussions have taken place:

“At the moment no one has asked to review the agreements because it would not make sense. Maybe in a few games, West Ham could ask to renegotiate. December will be the most important month [for Zaza].”

West Ham will trigger a €20million permanent transfer if Zaza reaches 14 matches, but according to the Sun, West Ham were said to be in negotiations with Zaza’s advisors about removing the clause from the contract to allow the Italian international to stay on loan until the end of the season.

The absence of the clause would enable the 25 year old to play with more freedom, and the player is reported to be particularly keen on getting the agreement changed.

Morabito has however poured cold water on this report, and with Zaza now only five games away from triggering the transfer, the Hammers could be in danger of taking a huge financial hit on a player who has so far failed to deliver.
