Roma are considering whether to bid for West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang, or to sign Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier on loan, according to the Corriere Dello Sport (via calciomercato.com).
Reports in France have linked the Hammers, as well as Fiorentina and Roma, with a move for Grenier, but it is believed that the Serie A side may have the upper hand in the negotiations because they will offer a loan player Juan Iturbe in exchange for the Frenchman.
The Corriere Dello Sport report that the Italian club are wary of UEFA Financial Fair Play rules and that means a move for West Ham’s Obiang may be out of the question as they will need to spend big to land the Spaniard.
The midfielder has played in West Ham’s last nine matches, and is now becoming an established first team player. He joined from Sampdoria in a £5m deal back in 2015.
