When Slaven Bilic joined West Ham at the start of the 2015/16 season many Hammers were keen to see how he’d fair.
A former West Ham player the Croatian knew all about what the club’s fans wanted from their side that they felt they were not getting under Sam Allardyce and he quickly went about trying to achieve just that.
You have to say, too, he certainly went the right way about things. A season that saw the Hammers finish a mightily fine seventh place in the Premier League table including some great attacking performances and saw some top individual displays as well.
Players like Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini were signed and quickly won the hearts of the Hammers faithful whilst Bilic seemed to do the same.
