If you ask any West Ham who their favourite signing has been in recent seasons, you’re going to get an almost unanimous response – Dimitri Payet.
Whilst a few may say someone like Manuel Lanzini or Cheikhou Kouyate, you cannot deny that Payet has been the one to really capture the imagination and spur West Ham on in recent months.
Admittedly, this season has been poor but Payet has still performed pretty decently with that rabona against Watford one of the highlights so far and you can’t forget some of the free-kicks he scored last season or this.
Slaven Bilic really pulled off a coup when he bought the Frenchman as when he began to strut his stuff on these shores, many couldn’t believe they’d missed him.
The Croatian boss will no doubt be looking to do that again and we reckon he should look at French stars again to pull it off. Here are two we have in mind…
