Fosu-Mensah has the ability to be a Premier League defender, of that there can be no doubt. The issue is that he’s not playing anywhere near enough to start reaching his potential and may want to move away from Old Trafford to do so. He can play as a full back or centre half, making him versatile whilst his potential could lead him to being a star for seasons to come for the Hammers.
