West Ham are tracking young Ajax defender Danilho Doekhi, according to tuttomercatoweb.com. 18 year old is also believed to be interesting three other Premier League clubs in Watford, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion.
Doekhi has played for Ajax’s Under 18 side as well as Jong Ajax, the Amsterdam club’s second team which plays in the Dutch second division, the Jupiler League.
The centre back (who can also play as a holding midfielder) moved to Ajax from Excelsior only back in July but has yet to feature for the first team despite making his first team debut for Excelsior in the Eredivisie back in March.
The Dutch Under 18 international made his way through the youth ranks at Excelsior before his move to Amsterdam but it looks as though Ajax manager Peter Bosz doesn’t consider him ready for the first team yet. Whether that means Doekhi is interested in a move to the Premier League is not known.
