Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has tipped West Ham as being one of three clubs who could make a move for out of favour Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge.

A report in the Mirror today suggested wants to leave the Reds in January after being displaced in the first team by Roberto Firmino this season, and writing in his column for the Mirror, Collymore says the Hammers, Southampton or controversially even Everton could be a good destination for the England international.

“Sturridge, unfortunately, comes into the unlucky category because he has been at three big clubs without really finding a home. If he does have to move on in the summer then I hope he will join a club who won’t have the luxury of not picking him as their first choice striker – like a Southampton, a West Ham or even an Everton.”

Sturridge was picked to start against Scotland on Friday, and scored the opening goal at Wembley, but the 27 year old has had his starts restricted under Jurgen Klopp so far this campaign. He has started just four Premier League matches this season and has yet to score in the league, although he has scored four goals so far in the EFL Cup when he has been given the opportunity to start.
