Bundesliga club RB Leipzig are interested in signing West Ham defender Reece Oxford, according to the Mirror. The German side have been trawling across Europe to find the best young players, and have identified the young Hammer as a potential target.

Leipzig made a high profile British signing in the summer when they bought young prospect Alex Burke from Nottingham Forest for £13million but any potential transfer for Oxford would be a lot more challenging.

Slaven Bilic and West Ham would not want one of the best young prospects to leave the club, and with the financial clout of the Premier League, it would mean the centre back could be well compensated financially to stay at the London Stadium.

The England Under 20 international is currently sidelined with a knee injury but has not featured in the Premier League this season, despite starting two Europa League ties for the Hammers back in August.
