Could West Ham be preparing another raid on Chelsea

|

West Ham have been linked with a number of Chelsea players over the past week with the Telegraph reporting that Slaven Bilic was pursuing midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, striker Dominic Solanke and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, but according to Club Call the Hammers will also pursue a loan move for striker Michy Batshuayi.

Bilic’s side pursued the Belgian international last summer before he opted to join Chelsea from Marseille in a £33million deal. The 23 year old’s lack of game time under Antonio Conte has however increased speculation that forward could soon leave Stamford Bridge.

Football blog Hard Tackle reports that Batshuayi may have been Technical Director Michael Emenalo’s signing rather than Conte’s. Whether that’s true or not is not certain but what is certain is that the Hammers need a striker.

No forward has scored for the Hammers this season in 18 matches, and the goal drought up front will almost likely see casualties with both Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza likely to leave when the transfer window reopens,
