West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is convinced that the Hammers will begin to convert some of their chances into goals in upcoming matches.

Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of the game against Stoke City on Saturday, the Croatian was asked about whether the lack of goals was his biggest concern heading into the match at the London Stadium. He replied:

“Yes, we are not scoring many goals and we are creating chances. But, I would rather have us creating chances and waiting for a moment to convert them than not create them at all. We are disappointed with the Everton result but we are on a good path, we are there, and we are going to score goals.”

The struggles of Simone Zaza in front of goal has meant Michail Antonio has been used as the main striker in recent matches. The club’s other main strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are still sidelined with injury but both should be available once again after the international break. West Ham co-owner David Gold gave an injury update on the players’ progress via his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Bilic’s side will head into the match versus Stoke on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Everton while Stoke have arrested their awful early season form with wins in their last three league games.
