Arsenal have bid €35million for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according La Gazetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness). The Italian international has been in excellent form this season, scoring eight times in 10 matches in Serie A.
Last month fellow Italian newspaper Tuttosport reported that West Ham had bid €30million for the 22 year old but if reports from Italy are to be believed, both bids from the Hammers and the Gunners were rejected by the Italian club.
Torino are said to want in excess of €40million; a steep figure considering Belotti’s goalscoring record is based on three decent seasons in Serie A. He scored six goals for Palermo after they were promoted in the 2014/15 season. He then scored 12 for Tornio in 35 games last season after moving to Turin before starting this season very well.
His goals for Italy have also increased his reputation further with three goals in five games. He scored two of them against Liechstenstein in a 4-0 victory on Saturday.
