Neil Fissler in the Daily Express is reporting to West Ham are leading the chase for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge and that the Reds are willing to sell the 27 year old for £25million.

The forward was left on the bench once again in the 0-0 draw against Southampton on Saturday as manager Jurgen Klopp continues to favour Roberto Firmino in the central striking role.

The Reds boss has expressed a desire to sign a winger or another striker in the January transfer window as the Merseyside club will be without Sadio Mane for a month when he departs to play in the African Cup of Nations.

Klopp’s side have been linked with FC Rostov’s Iranian forward Sardar Azmoun and Spartak Moscow’s Dutch international Quincy Promes, and the Reds want to free up funds for these moves, according to the Express, by selling Sturridge.

The Hammers may face competition for the England international with it emerging that Italian club AC Milan could also make a move for the player.
