The Hammers fans know all about Defoe and know that if he is given any chances he’ll likely score them. He may not be as quick as he once was but he hasn’t lost that natural ability to sniff out chances in the box and if West Ham want to continue building their confidence, keeping him quiet all game will certainly go a long way to doing just that.
