West Ham United have delayed contract talks with manager Slaven Bilic after the club’s poor start to the season, according to The Telegraph.

The Hammers had high hopes of achieving great things this season, with an expansive summer in the transfer market adding quality to the club’s squad.

However, elimination from the Europa League in the qualifying rounds has been followed by a disastrous run of form domestically.

West Ham have lost four of their first five Premier League games, with 4-2 defeats against both Watford and West Brom hard to take in recent weeks.

The report suggests that Bilic had been in line for a new and improved deal following his impact at the London club last season, where the London side were fighting for a top-four finish.

However, this has reportedly been put on the back burner for the time being as the Irons look to get back to winning ways under the Croatian trainer.
