West Ham United goalkeeper has taken to social media to complain against Diego Costa’s challenge on him in the club’s 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

The Spain international forward had already been booked when he lunged into a challenge on the Hammers stopper, catching the custodian on the ankle in an ugly looking tackle.

Costa was shown leniency by the officials and escaped without a second caution, before going on to score a late winner for Antonio Conte’s men.

A debate in the press has broken out in the aftermath of the game, with the Brazilian-born forward at the centre of it, as many pundits and former players have stated that he should have been given his marching orders.

Adrian has admitted that he feels lucky to not have been more seriously injured after being taken down by Costa and that the incident could have sidelined him for some time.
