West Ham United are ready to turn their attention to Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez and are currently weighing up a £7 million move for the German striker, according to The Mirror.

The Hammers are thought to be waiting on a decision from AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca after the Italian giants accepted an offer, but the Colombia international is stalling on letting the London club know if he is interested in a switch to the Premier League.

With the new season only a couple of weeks away, Slaven Bilic’s men are keen to bolster their options in the final third and as such want to put a rush on a new deal for a centre forward of note.

Gomez scored an impressive 26 goals on loan at Besiktas last season, helping fire the Istanbul club to the Super Lig title, but is not interested in a return to Turkey due to the unstable political situation in the eastern European nation.

With the former Bayern Munich star not in Fiorentina’s plans, a move elsewhere is set to happen and West Ham are keen to capitalise.
