Juventus striker Simone Zaza wants to move to West Ham United, with the Hammers having concrete interest in him, according to the player’s agent.

The Italy international has been linked with an exit from the Turin giants this summer after the Bianconeri shelled out £75 million to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli.

Zaza was reportedly on the verge of signing for Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, but the Germans ended up signing Mario Gomez from Fiorentina as an alternative.

The Italian forward has been touted as a potential West Ham target all summer long, but as yet there has been no progress over a potential switch to the London Stadium.

However, the latest comments from Antonio Zaza, the centre forward’s father and agent, suggest that a move to the Premier League side could well be on the cards.

“Simone went to Germany last week to visit Wolfsburg’s training camp, but the club made a different offer than their first,” Zaza senior told Calcio Mercato.

“We did not expect that and their offer was not enough, we had agreed other terms, it is difficult now to see Simone joining Wolfsburg.

“He’d like to move to West Ham, their interest is concrete. Let’s see what Juve want to do, there will be news shortly. We are considering a move to London for the future of Simone.”

West Ham are suffering an injury crisis in attack, with both Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew on the sidelines currently.

Enner Valencia started against Bournemouth while new loan addition Jonathan Calleri was introduced from the bench.
