West Ham United have dug their heels in and will reject all approaches from Manchester United for young defender Reece Oxford, according to The Sun.

The 17-year-old propelled himself into the collective focus last season with some standout individual performances, including a prodigious cameo in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

With Oxford also starring for England at age-grade level, the teenager is widely acknowledged as a player with an immensely bright future in the sport for both club and country.

The Hammers starlet has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium, with a new contract yet to be penned, with Jose Mourinho believed to be a major suitor of the versatile player.

However, the latest report suggests that West Ham are refusing to engage in negotiations with the Red Devils and will use Oxford in the first-team squad after the summer departure of James Tomkins.
