West Ham United are finally set to bolster their attacking ranks, with The London Evening Standard stating that the Hammers are ready to announce a deal to bring Jonathan Calleri to east London.

The Hammers have run aground in their attempts to land a couple of high-profile number nines this summer but it appears that good news is just around the corner.

Calleri is set to feature for Argentina in the Olympic Games in Rio next month and is regarded as a player with a bright future in the sport.

The gifted striker has scored consistently for Boca Juniors and on loan at Brazilian side Sao Paulo, with it inevitable that the forward will end up in European club football.

It is believed that West Ham have concluded a deal to bring Calleri to the London Stadium on a 12-month loan deal, which will provide extra options in attack for Slaven Bilic.
