West Ham United’s deal to bring Gokhan Tore back to England has hit difficulties, with disagreement over a potential transfer fee threatening the transfer, according to Takvim and reported by Turkish Football.

The former Chelsea winger has starred for club and country in recent years, with the Besiktas attacking midfielder highly regarded in the international game.

Slaven Bilic knows the star well from his time in charge of the Turkish club and it has seemed like only a matter of time before the pair are reunited at the Olympic Stadium.

Reports in the press in recent weeks have suggested that West Ham’s deal for Tore was as good as done, with only formalities to be tied up before the Turkey international was announced as a Hammers player.

However, the latest report in the star’s homeland suggests that Besiktas are holding out for a £17 million fee and West Ham have objected to the hike in the player’s price.
