Brighton and Hove Albion are ready to make a move for former West Ham United striker Elliot Lee this summer, according to Team Talk.

The 21-year-old is a product of the Hammers’ fabled youth academy but was allowed to leave the London club after his contract expired at the end of the last season.

Lee was not given a chance to feature for West Ham and instead was farmed out on loan to Football League clubs such as Colchester United, Southend United, Luton Town and Blackpool.

The striker left the Boleyn Ground and stated that he was motivated to make it at the top level and would make an impression at his next club.

Lee is being linked with a move to Brighton ahead of next season, where more regular first-team football could well be forthcoming.

The West Ham fans will surely wish Lee well, but the reality is that the London club have lofty ambitions and are set to sign an international striker this summer.
