West Ham United are believed to be one of a host of Premier League sides interested in signing Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga this summer, according to Le 10 Sport.

The French source claim that the former Rennes enforcer has gained plaudits for his no-nonsense approach and the likes of Swansea and Crystal Palace are also keeping tabs on the 27-year-old.

Manga has been on the Welsh club’s books for two years now and looks like an accomplished operator for the Bluebirds.

A Gabon international with 41 caps to his name, the defender missed the first part of the 2015-16 season due to a serious knee injury but has impressed upon his return, making 19 starts in The Championship.

Manga could well be available at a bargain price and would represent an extra option at the heart of Slaven Bilic’s rearguard should the London club make a move for the African centre-half.
