West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has stated that the Hammers have already sold 52,000 season tickets for the impending move to the Olympic Stadium next season.

The London club have had a progressive campaign under Slaven Bilic and are still in the running for a top-four finish, although their chances were damaged by a defeat to Swansea on the weekend.

A move to the Olympic Stadium is set to revitalise the club, bringing in a lot more revenue and possibly attracting a higher brand of player to the team.

Brady has stated that she has a grand plan for the club and wants Bilic’s men to be one of the best teams in Europe.

She also stated that demand for a place at the Olympic Stadium is high, with 52,000 people already committing to a season ticket.

“I see West Ham challenging for the top six consistently, becoming one of the top 10 most successful clubs in Europe — and short term (I see) breaking our transfer record this summer, selling nobody we want to keep, filling our new stadium,” The Daily Mail quote Brady as saying.

“Getting the stadium is one thing, selling it out is another. Our attendances next season will include 10,000 children because of our affordable seating and we have 30,000 supporters on our waiting list. So the demand and desire to see West Ham at our new stadium is there.

“Yes, only Manchester United sell more,” she added when asked if 52,000 had been sold.

West Ham will bid goodbye to Upton Park when they face United in midweek.
