West Ham are interested in potentially signing Moussa Sissoko this summer should Newcastle be relegated, Calcio Mercato report.

The Tyneside outfit remain in danger of a drop to The Championship, which would surely spark a mass exodus from St James’ Park.

Sissoko has been a consistent performer for the Magpies in recent years and is tipped to be a member of Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 tournament on home soil this summer.

West Ham are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer before their move to the Olympic Stadium, but would reportedly face competition from AC Milan for Sissoko’s signature should they make a move for him.

The attacking midfielder has lit up the Premier League with his barnstorming runs while in possession, but has been criticised by the Newcastle fans for a lack of willingness to work back towards his own goal in recent times.
