Controversial forward Diafra Sakho has taken to Twitter to commit to West Ham, despite rumours that he could leave the club this summer.
The Senegalese attacker was thrown into the public limelight when he took to social media with a foul-mouthed post after being dropped for the Hammers’ clash with Arsenal earlier this month.
Sakho has since had his injury concerns but returned to Slaven Bilic’s side for the 3-1 win over Watford at the Boleyn Ground on Wednesday night.
A fallout with his manager was being touted in the press, which led to the likes of West Brom being linked with a summer move for the African star.
However, the versatile attacker has stated that he is committed to the club and is looking forward to repaying the supporters’ faith in him.
“It has been a difficult season for me with injuries, but I would like to thank the fans for all their support. I am very grateful,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I hope the injuries are behind me now & I will continue to give 100% to the team.”
Sakho has proven that on his day he can be a devastating player and having him fit and firing for the rest of the campaign can only be a good thing for West Ham.
