West Ham United are in the running to sign Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette this summer, but face competition from other Premier League clubs including Tottenham according to L’Equipe.

The Hammers are in the market for a new hotshot centre forward to take the club to the next level and have been linked with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michy Batshuayi recently.

However, the latest reports suggest that Slaven Bilic’s men are one of a host of clubs set to make a move for Lacazette at the end of the current campaign.

The 24-year-old has struck 18 times in Ligue 1 this summer and looks destined for a move overseas.

His blend of skill, pace and clinical finishing make him one of the most highly regarded young strikers in Europe.

Lacazette is in a battle to be included in Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 tournament on home soil.
