Liverpool are set to win the race to sign Ipswich youngster Andre Dozzell according to The Mirror, with West Ham to miss out on the teenage starlet.

The 16-year-old is a rising star of the English national game and is currently the captain of the under-17’s side.

He is yet to make a senior appearance at Portman Road but has also grabbed the attention of Arsenal and Tottenham.

The teenager is the son of former Tottenham midfielder Jason Dozzell and is regarded as a future star.

Jurgen Klopp is said to have been monitoring the youngster’s progress over recent months and is willing to pay the required £1.5 million compensation to Ipswich required.

West Ham are keen to bolster their youth ranks and with an impending move to the Olympic Stadium it is expected that the Hammers will be an appealing potential employer to transfer targets this summer.
