David Sullivan’s son Jack has developed into a reliable news source for West Ham-related material in recent years and he provided a number of interesting answers to some important questions on Twitter today.

One pressing subject in recent weeks concerns the form of current loan star Manuel Lanzini. The midfielder has really excelled for the club since he was handed a starting berth and Jack was asked whether it was likely that the Irons would make the deal permanent. He replied with ‘If he carries on like this. Yes very’. The Hammers already have a fee agreed in principle for the player nicknamed ‘the jewel’ and the loan allows the manager to assess Lanzini’s abilities over the course of the season.

Jack also gave an update on Alex Song’s fitness as he closes in on a return to first team action. Sullivan stated that the midfielder should be back in ‘2 weeks’ which is another piece of positive news as Song will add further quality to the midfield.

Speculation surrounding West Ham’s future transfer business is always a hot topic and when Jack was asked whether the club had plans to sign a huge player in January or in the Summer, the so-owner’s son responded with ‘Summer’. This is encouraging news as it shows that the owners plan to develop the club further by the time we move into the Olympic Stadium. Dimitri Payet was a massive signing for the Hammers this summer and if the club can follow that trend in 2016 the team will certainly improve.

Speaking of Payet, his form so far this season is bound to attract interest at the end of the campaign if he carries on performing at this level. When asked whether the club would sell if a massive club offered £30-£40m for the player, Jack stated, ‘Personally I don’t think we would’. This response makes sense as the club has refrained from selling its best players in recent memory, a trait that has certainly developed since Gold and Sullivan took over the club.

Jack’s responses have certainly shed some light on some important issues surrounding the club. If you want to give him a follow and view his other answers, his Twitter handle is @jsullivanwhu.
