Victor Moses produced a West Ham debut to remember last night as the Hammers easily saw off Newcastle 2-0.
The 24-year-old played superbly and was a stand-out figure alongside Dimitri Payet. The most noticeable element of his game was the hard work. He never stopped running and would often get back to support Aaron Cresswell on the left flank.
He produced a number of exciting moments on the counter attack, showing his sheer pace and power to open up the Newcastle defence.
The highlight was the second goal, Moses ran from his own half and into the penalty box, shrugging off Newcastle defenders at the same time. He kept his composure brilliantly and was denied by the crossbar as he looked to fire home. Luckily, Payet was there to tuck in the rebound but the Chelsea loanee couldn’t hide his disappointment at missing the target after such a strong run.
Although the winger looked frustrated with his miss, he did take to Twitter after the game to congratulate the team on an excellent performance:
Great to make my debut for West Ham last night! The team were brilliant now let’s move on to the next game 👊🏻

There is no doubt that Moses will add extra quality to the West Ham team and the way he slotted into the attacking trio alongside Payet and Lanzini is also very positive viewing for everyone connected with the club.

Just one point about moses debut . Bit worrying newcastles right full back had 5 attempts on goal.
