This talented forward could be the answer to West Ham’s striker search

|

Negatives

Lack of game time

Throughout the whole of last season, Jimenez was limited to just 593 minutes of football. If West Ham move for the striker, the club will be signing a player who will need time to get match-sharp.

Although this is a bit of a concern, he has proved that given the opportunity, he can produce. The striker scored two goals in the Copa America this summer and this is probably the main reason as to why the Hammers have decided to make a move for the player.

No Premier League experience

It is becoming more and more difficult to find strikers that have scored goals in the Premier League and are within budget. This is the main reason as to why West Ham are now broadening their striker search. Jimenez has no Premier League experience but he does have a lot of potential and his natural game does suit English football.
