Give Sam Allardyce a new contract
Although manager Sam Allardyce’s current deal at the club only runs until the end of the current season, there has been no movement in terms of negotiating an extension to his stay in the East End so far. Indeed, some media reports recently have suggested that the owners do not want to keep him at the club beyond that time.
Whether this is really true or not is anyone’s guess at this stage, but for me the former Bolton Wanderers boss should have a new contract on the table ready and waiting to be signed as soon as possible. This would confirm Big Sam as the man to lead West Ham into the Olympic Stadium era and quite right to in my opinion.
He has not only achieved every target set for him since his arrival three-and-a-half-years ago, but has also this term presided over the club’s best start to a league season in almost 30 years. Sign him up now I say and end any speculation!
