Five Alex Song alternatives for West Ham to consider

With Hull City currently languishing in the relegation zone, a potential drop to the second tier of English football remains a possibility this season, and could well spell an exodus of some of their better players in the summer were it to happen.

One of these could be Tom Huddlestone, who has impressed generally in his performances since joining the Tigers from Tottenham Hotspur at the start of last season.

Huddlestone’s passing ability and range is unquestioned, and to that degree he would provide a good job to the Hammers in terms of keeping the ball in the midfield area. However I am not convinced that he is the most reliable in a defensive sense, which would be vital in the position in which he plays in. Huddlestone is someone worth keeping in mind if he were to become available at some stage, however.
