Steven Gerrard
This option is a bit tongue in cheek, and is based purely upon comments made by West Ham vice-chairwoman Karren Brady in her Sun column this week.
In light of the controversy surrounding the fact that Steven Gerrard has so far not signed a new contract with Liverpool, Brady made it clear that she would love to see Gerrard in a West Ham shirt next season if no agreement were to be reached, writing; ‘Steven, if you want a new home, West Ham could be the very place!’
I do not see this as a realistic prospect however, as I cannot see Gerrard wanting to play for any other Premier League side other than Liverpool. Nor do I believe he would add much to the Hammers squad at this stage of his career.
