Malky MackayIt looks like Sam Allardyce’s time with West Ham could be coming to an end, with various reports suggesting Malky Mackay and Michael Laudrup are being considered as replacements for the current Hammers manager.

Big Sam’s relationship with the West Ham faithful has never been plain sailing but it reached breaking point after last night’s 2-1 victory over Hull City. The Hammers gaffer cupped his hand to his ear in response to sections of Upton Park booing at the full-time whistle.

It is believed the board are uneasy with the current anger towards Big Sam and are concerned with the fact that the numbers are increasing who want the former Bolton Wanderers manager sacked.

Macky or Laudrup? Perhaps you have another suggestion? Or maybe you are happy with Allardyce? Let us know below.

    I took my son for his first upton park match on Wed night. What a poor experience, a win but what dross on the pitch. £150 LIGHTER WITH TICKETS, TRAVEL ETC. I think I have the right to moan if a product I pay for is poor. We left ten mins early despite winning, it was painful.Sam has done his job and its time to move forward, otherwise we will be discussing the same probs next year with the OS looming large. Moyes will be out pf a job soon and reputation tarnished, could rebuild his career with us?

    Hoddle with a bit of money to spend would do as well if not better than S.A and we would be playing football.
    How can watching West Ham make so many of us so angry, because of Sams tactics.
    Nolan is back to early season form ,MCartney only knows how to pass backwards nobody but Noble wants the ball hence no movement
    The crosses for Carroll have been abysmal so he goes deeper to get a touch and nobody is up front anyway.
    Once Hull went down to 10 men it was made for a playmaker to come on but not Sam,Hull took control of the game and we just went deeper and deeper.
    Mr Gold and Sullivan should take heed because an empty Olympic stadium will not look good

    For a man that loves statistics I would think that this one would be an easy one;
    ” 10 v 11 should benefit the side with more players” or
    “If your side holds possession of the ball the other side won’t have the ball as much making it less likely they will score” and
    “If you concede too much of the attacking portion of the field the opposition will except the area making their chances of scoring much greater” lastly
    “The best players should be on the field within their best possible positions giving you side the greatest opportunity for success”

    Much has been written about “Der Manager”, and that we should get a replacement. So any replacement will have to play with Loanees, Basement Bargains, and journeymen. Why? Because the board will not pay large sums, ths truth is that what we are seeing is what happened at Birmingham, so they have track record e.g. talk a lot, be linked with every player from anywhere, and end up with loanees that cannot make it elsewhere. So what manager in their right mind would want to accept that poison challice. If we stop being hysterical for one moment we have to accept that Survival Is Paramount, no matter how. Then look at who we would have to replace, and the list goes on and on, for instance Jussi, McCartney, Nolan, Diarra, Vaz Te, Collison, Joe Cole. By my maths that’s seven, and it could be described as a wholesale change, but it would allow for monies to be spent. Then we should consider that playing a different style of play could just motivate some of the players left. For me if we stay up we should look at the best players of the teams going down that could fill those positions vacated and see what they would cost. Then look at the style of play based on who is available, because it is not possible to play like Barcelona if you do not have quality players. Bill Shankly always said decide on the system you want to play (he was talking about football not hoofball), and then get the players you need to make it work. For me it should be 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 but 2 up front.
    The reality is that if we do survive then it will probably be more of the same in the name of survival, and we will all be moaning, but at least we might still be in the PL.
