Carlton ColeWest Ham manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed they’re already in talks to extend Carlton Cole’s contract.

The 30-year-old was released by the Hammers at the end of last season but returned to the Irons after Andy Carroll was ruled out with a long-term injury.

Carlton has perhaps won over a few of his doubters during this three-month stint with some impressive displays and notching three Premier League goals in the process.

Big Sam said, when asked about Cole’s contract situation: “Yeah, we’ve got that in mind.

“We’re talking about that (the contract) as quickly as we possibly can because obviously it needs to be addressed.”

Do you hope Carlton gets another contract?

  • Dartford Donut says:

Offer him only 5k a week based on his dour ability though !
I mean… I am a hammer through n through also, but they don’t have to pay my wages.

They shouldn’t have let him go in the first place, there’s worse than him at West Ham at the moment

Offer him a new contract sooner rather than later

A bit of common sense by the board at last, Carlton Cole you need to be more consistent, because on your day you are real handful.

I say keep carlton. gold sullivan and sam should have shown more loyalty to the man. His performances (as with maiga’s) have been overshaddowed by our poor form. Sam was doing a great job, hence why he was being dubbed allardicio. Cant believe we going down again :-(COYI.
