Andy Carroll, according to ‘Claret and Hugh’, has a return date for West Ham!
It is now believed that the Hammers’ record signing will ready for first team action on January 18th when West Ham take on his former club Newcastle United.
A source told Hugh Southon:
He said: “It would be a very appropriate fixture given his Newcastle background wouldn’t it.
“He may not be ready for 90 minutes but we would expect him to be on the bench for the game and play some part.”
I just can’t seem to get excited about that encounter is it just me ?.

Jury still out on carroll here. He worked his backside off for us last season so is definitely commited to west ham.
Prolific striker? Couple of good seasons in his home town with home support, non eventful england career, and only coming back from a long injury? Add to that the pressure of being expected to be our saviour…
He has potential but lets change this seasons habit and stop pinning our hopes on 1 player.
