Mladen PetricFollowing his release from West Ham, Mladen Petric has spoken out about his brief stint with the Hammers – which saw him make just three substitute appearances in the Premier League.

The Croatian international said: “Everything went very clean. There is absolutely no trouble with West Ham.”

Petric continued: Both the club and I had a right of termination for the winter. If West Ham do not made (sic) use of it, I would have done that.”

Rather surprisingly, the 32-year-old said he came to the club because of a promise about using two forwards: “When I arrived, we were told that we want to play with two strikers – but that was never the case.”

Petric was reportedly on £30,000-a-week which now frees up so much needed funds for this transfer window.

the mystery that surrounded Petric’s time at West Ham.
Was he unfit for 3 months? Injured? Not liked? didn’t fit in in the dressing room? .. So poor in training he couldn’t get onto the bench?
It’s strange. He wasn’t a target man, but he looked to have a good touch and good footballing brain. i could have seen a few goals in him. .. Why when we were so desperate did he not feature?

Typical Allardyce. Let’s face it, Petric wasn’t given a chance. And costing a reported £30k a week!!! But Maiga was in week in week out. Maybe those living on planet Allardyce will understand his reasoning!!!

I don’t believe the figures being mentioned but yet again great business from fat Sam and west ham.

Maybe things were not that clean after all if the promise to play two upfront was made (and repeatedly broken), don’t you think ?

Just clicked on the link, and from what I understood, the fellow is very motivated because he wants to be in Brazil playing with his national squad, Croatia. So yes, I do have many questions, just like Legends points out. Could he really have been injured for almost three months ???

Just like for the Andy Carroll stuff, I feel we are not being told the truth….

Yet another typical Sam signing….(or was it?)…how many strikers have come in and never given a run in the side since Sam took over?

  • Gra Ham U says:

Well probably end up with Kevin Philips ….
