What Can We Expect From West Ham Next Season?

Big SamLast season was a fantastic year for West Ham. The manager and players achieved the objectives set by the club and the fans were able to experience some very memorable moments. However, with pre-season beginning and the excitement of the season increasing day by day, what can we expect next season.

Are you on Facebook? Excellent, so are we http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

To start, I would be more than happy if we finished next season in 10th position again. I think it would show real stability within the club and it will prove to others that it wasn’t just a one off last year. That will be the main question next year for sure, can we repeat what we did last season and that is what the club will set out to achieve. The amount of times I have witnessed teams have a great season and then the next season, they get relegated or are close to relegation.

However saying this, I do believe that West Ham have the ability to finish higher than what we did last season. We have already signed Adrian, Rat and Carroll and as many have stated, West Ham are certainly not finished there.

I have the feeling that we will see an improvement in our away form next season. It is a problem that Allardyce will look to address and sort out. Last season we just didn’t click at away from home. What I found most frustrating is that some of the teams we lost or drew to away from home, we played off the park at home. It was like watching two completely different teams.

Anyway, I think that West Ham will enjoy another memorable season next year and I believe than we will get another top 10 finish. I can see our away form improving and our home form proving to be as formidable as last season.

I would be more than happy to finish 10th again this season.
As we stand right now we haven’t improved the squad at all from last season, the only additions have been Carroll, who we already had, a reserve keeper and a full back untried out of his own country.
Admittedly there is still time to add (but not a lot of money) so I expect another loan deal similar to that of Carroll.
The away form will only improve if we have a complete change of style and attack the opposition, the defensive tactics worked against Newcastle, but that was it!! far to often we gave away any momentum by sitting back, particularly against a (there for the taking) Aston Villa.
Will we change tactics completely? I doubt it.

Yes we have completely changed our tactics! We are looking at bramble! So from trying to play football we have well….just fcuk ing blown it! Relegation here we come! Tosser!

If we sign Titus Bramble, relegation is a strong possibility!!

Are you serious? So we will be relegation candidates IF we sign bramble on a free. How much game time will he actually get and how much of our transfer budget should we spend on a forth choice cb?? Unbelievable!

Just when you think everything is on the up for west ham they get themselves tangled up in a Bramble.DO NOT SIGN HIM NO MATTER HOW CHEAP HE COMES

Id be happy with tenth! There are a few teams around us that seem to have far larger budgets than we do (eg Southampton), so Sam will need to be smart with whatever money we have left, I have full confidence in him. With our debts we haven’t got the money to do what saints are trying to do so I can see us slowly improving the team year on year until we move. Anything between 8th-12th is what I expect and would be satisfied with that!

I don’t agree that we are no stronger than last year; we have a quality new left back, we’ve got Carroll for the whole season and he is now bedded in and we should have a fit (not fat) joe cole who will be like a new player after a full pre season. Also it’s July the 1st for god sake, the transfer window officially opens today and fans are already getting their knickers in a twist about our team. As for bramble, he’ll do for cover behind our 3 main cbs as he’ll cost nothing. We need to spend whatever is left improving the first 11, not banging it on a 4th choice cb

I was really looking forward to the new season and I have been eagerly scouring the sports pages for news possible new signings! But with the news that bramble is training at chadwell Heath has put paid to any hope or optimism i might have had and instead left me with a sense of dread and deep disappointment! The season is game over already! There will be no new exciting signings now and only the spectre of relegation to look forward too! Big Sam how could you do it?!

I´ve been watching west ham since 1955,it does not matter who owns the club ,who manages the club it´s the same old west ham always on the back foot ,the same old rest home, the same old bad end of a deal, always in debt, and HERE WE GO AGAIN O´neil resigns, breaking the Bramble news gently, how long before Peter Crouch turns up!!! I sometimes wish I could get claret &blue out of my system (another season of struggle )

Titus Bramble has scored goals throughout his career, may be Sam see’s him as a back up utility squad player. I’m sure Sam will have a well balanced squad capable of competing with all the other teams in the EPL. COY.

    • Johnsey says:

Who is this Titus Bramble you speak of?

You must be mixing him up with somemone else mate, the Bramble training with West Ham is the error prone, often arrested pile of poo who makes Anton Ferdinand look like a good defender.

He is definitely NOT a goal scorer.
