West Ham Welcome West Brom

|

West Ham West BromWest Ham will be looking for maximum points as they host West Brom at Upton Park today.

With tricky ties to come, this will be a good opportunity for Sam Allardyce’s men to get closer to their 38 point target and dispel any whispers about getting closer to the drop zone.

With the last 4 matches between these two ending in draws, the match doesn’t scream with excitement, but West Ham will be hoping their home form will hold out and their scoring record will improve. The Irons have failed to score more than once in all but one of their last seven games.

George McCartney could make a return for West Ham, but Mark Noble remains sidelined with his injury. Kevin Nolan is also doubtful to feature, but Joe Cole has recovered from his injury in time for the match.

West Brom look to be without Zoltan Gera, George Thorne and James MorrisonĀ but right back Steven Reid could return to the action this weekend after overcoming his injury worries.

West Ham have gained just seven points from their last nine games, but West Brom have lost two thirds of their nine most recent away games, so you’d hope that the Hammers will be in line for a change of fortunes!

Probable line-ups:

West Ham – Jaaskelainen, Demel, Collins, Reid, O’Brien, O’Neil, Diame, Collison, J Cole, Carroll, Jarvis

West Brom – Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olson, Ridgewell, Yacob, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Brunt, Thomas, Lukaku
