Is Sam Allardyce The Man To Lead West Ham Into The Olympic Stadium?

|

Allardyce SamIs Big Sam the man to lead us into the Olympic Stadium?

It’s a simple question and in my opinion it’s a simple answer…yes. Now that West Ham have been given the green light to one of the biggest stadium’s in the country and with it the potential to be bigger and better than ever before; the only concern for David Gold, David Sullivan and us the fans is that we go there as a Premier League club.

Stability is the key to ensuring we keep our status between now and the 2016-17 season when we take up residency at Stratford. So those of you that want Sam out, who do you want in? Roberto Martinez? Whose Wigan Athletic team only get going when the season draws to a close? Roberto Di Matteo? Whose managerial achievements only better Sam’s because he was given a Chelsea team to manage who’ve been put together for hundreds and millions of Roman’s roubles? Or club legend Paolo Di Canio who’s only so far managed for a season and a half in the lower leagues of English football?

Whether we like to admit it or not we are not in a position at the moment where we could attract a top level manager; someone for instance like Jurgen Klopp the highly rated manager of Borrusia Dortmund wouldn’t look twice at West Ham if the position became available…however if Sam was to remain manager, keep us in the top flight, improve the squad and lead us into a 54,000 seater stadium; in 3 years time a manager the standing of a Klopp could well be interested, as the potential to build and create something successful could well appeal.

The only tangible reason to not renew Sam’s deal and potentially risk going down as a consequence (Bolton, Blackburn and Newcastle all dispensed with Sam’s services and were subsequently relegated) is if we could attract someone better…at this moment in time I don’t see who that would be.

We simply have to remain in the Premier League till the day we move to Stratford otherwise the Olympic Stadium will be a millstone around our neck and not the platform to achieve greatness.

The wrong move at such a crucial time could prove disastrous.

NO!!!NO!!!NO!!!NO!!!Anything but. When SA was appointed manager I refused to renew my season ticket having been a loyal supporter through thick and thin for the past 50 odd years.
The man has no vision and his style of play and his comments about signing “past their date players” will always leave us struggling for survival. The sooner the club get rid of the better.

It never fails to amaze me that people in general have :-
    1. Short memories
    2. Very little common Sense

It’s obvious to me that what we need is STABILITY after the roller coaster ride of the last few years, not to mention the small fact that this club could have folded.
And the reason for our near miss???
We had owners that thought like supporters instead of the businessmen that they should have been.
Thankfully we have now got owners that ARE businessmen and have managed to get us a manager that CAN!
In that I’m talking about one of the most experienced managers in the Premiership and country that can do what is necessary to take us wherever we want to go….given the funds. BUT….. We have just started walking again after major surgery and now with the OS on the horizon, more funds for a higher caliber of player will be released and it can be onwards and upwards!
All this talk of changing managers is so Chelski, Citeh and Spuds, if it ain’t broken DON’T try to fix it or tweak it!
The Davids are doing and excellant job and so is Big Sam. Nothing lasts forever but we don’t need to put everything under the microscope but simply understand STABILITY equals SUCCESS!

Very rarely post but I can’t agree with the cat more…. How long ago were we waking up in the morning in a great mood only to realise that we had Grant in charge of our club. Face it … Bin Sam and who have we got to replace him that’s better than what we have in place. NOONE .. PDC maybe one day but we need stability. Even his biggest fan (which im up there with the biggest) will admit he won’t give us that. Keep Sam, keep Carroll.. Keep us in the premiership and into the OS and see what happens… Exciting times ahead

Who is fat and what I’ve achieved in the Premier League. The only successful period was with Bolton and each year the first thing was to not fall out of the ugly football league. As uses the old players of 34-36 years. Want to make older players and not give a chance to young players from the reserve stock. Which player he gave a chance to play in the first team reserve composition except Danny Potts. Transfers him any more scandalous than any Potagetts lest posilen’s player Marouane Chamakh Potts and instead calledBlair Turgott, Elliot Lee and Hall. Do you like to export your ball from defense to strikers ball. Why the hell have midfielders since 90% of centering is done by defenders for striker.I was expecting an ugly fat football when Sam came to West Ham but it surpassed my darkest forecasts ugly football.

I wonder how many people were calling for Martin O’Neill before Big Sam got the job???

We need to be careful what we wish for, as many a frivolous manager has consigned a club to the championship graveyard and worse!

I was hoping for o’neill….. Just goes to prove that we are better off sticking with Sam.
