Fortress Upton Park

|

TUpton Parkhis season has been of stark contrast to that of last season, and for a change it’s the green green grass of home that is pushing West Ham up the Premier League.

The Hammers home form has been sensational this season just losing three games at the Boleyn all season, is it too early to call it ‘Fortress Upton Park’ yet?

Last season the players seemed to freeze under the expectancy of the home crowd, but this year with more experienced players they see to thrive under the roar of the east end crowd. You have to question where we would find ourselves without this fine home form. I’ll tell you the answer in a basement battle to survive, so I tip my hat to Big Sam Allardyce for improving our home form, now just sort out the away please!

Our win on Saturday against in form Swansea City shows how far we have come along at home, a gritty, ugly win but a vital win none the less. It again proves the importance of Andy Carroll, the on loan Liverpool star was everywhere, getting blocks in, getting his foot in when it matters and of course scoring the vital winning header.

Forever West Ham is now on Google+, so be sure to find us on there by quite simply (and rather unsurprisingly) searching ‘Forever West Ham’

The contrast between home and away form this season is scary; at home we look so confident and solid whereas at home at times we look like a league two side. This weekend’s trip to Aston Villa is the perfect time to show our form of last year away from home. It’s a must win game for both clubs and I’m sure Paul Lambert and Sam Allardyce will pump the sides up.

I read an interesting stat last night on Twitter that states, West Ham have picked up an incredible 19 points out of a possible 21 in the first game of a new month. If the Hammers can keep that up we have at least 7 more points coming our way and that would put us well on track for survival.

I’ll end this attempt of a positive article with this, we are 9 points clear of the drop zone we have lost at home since the Everton game, we look solid at the back and up front with Carroll in the team and the club want to go on with this form.

We will stay up and with ease.

Come on you Irons!

just looking at the pic of upton park above what a stadium it would be if only we could build something the same as the main stand where the east stand is now i know we cant do it as the space is not there.shame. anyway i think if we can keep our best players fit and happy we can and will finish in the top ten.
