THREE players we should loan

|

It has been well documented recently that Sam Allardyce will be looking at short term options rather than concentrating on the long term in the January transfer window with West Ham United and so it looks like we could be getting a few players on loan in order to strengthen the side still missing Andy Carroll and Mohamed Diame.

With such a small squad any new players that we get on loan could be vital and would need to make an instant impact so it is important that we get the right players in, but who would be able to come in and help the irons to climb even further up the table than we are at the moment?

Joleon Lescott- Last year he was part of one of the best defences in the Premier League along with Vincent Kompany, as Manchester City conceded just 29 goals all season.

Despite being such an influential part of their title winning team Lescott has been left in the back ground behind Kolo Toure and Nastasic, after rumoured to have had a fall out with Roberto Mancini. However there is no way that he could lose so much quality in a matter of months and so I definitely feel that we should make a move for the out of favour city man, as he has a great aerial presence, puts his body on the line and can put in a great tackle and if we had him and Winston Reid in the centre of defence I can’t see us conceding too many goals.

Alex Büttner- In the summer Alex Büttner made the move from Dutch team Vitesse to Manchester United and since moving to them has been kept to one appearance because of Patrice Evra’s performances, however in that one appearance I saw the potential of a great player.

In his game which was against Wigan Athletic he scored a great individual goal and showed great pace strength and technical ability making him a player who could do well in the West Ham side and be very dangerous down the left hand side with Matt Jarvis.

If we were to get him I think he would inject the pace which is holding our defence back a bit and allow Joey O’Brien to go into his natural right back position so I think that he would be a great addition to the team for more than one reason.

John Guidetti- Guidetti is a great talent who I feel is currently being wasted amongst the reserves of Manchester City and who would be able to make a real name for himself at most Premier League teams, with West Ham being a team who could use his strength and precision to great effect.

At the age of 20 he has already represented Sweden at first team level and last season when loaned out to Feyenoord he managed to score 20 goals in 23 starts which in any league is a great goal haul and if there’s anything West Ham could use at the moment it is a strong, creative striker who possesses pace and is able to put ball in the net and Guidetti has all of this. If he was to strike up a good partnership with Jarvis, Nolan and the other attacking talents within the West Ham ranks then he could be the key to making us a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League and get us the goals to push us up the table.

Buttner is a great shout, bit of a forgotten man so far this season due to Evra, would give us that attacking mentality down the left.
