Fancy a flutter on an opening day win?

|

The 2012/13 Premier League season is fast approaching and West Ham will be kicking off their campaign at Upton Park against Aston Villa (I have goosebumps just thinking about what the atmosphere will be like at the Boleyn that day.)

The signings are beginning to happen and the rumour mill is naturally in full flow…Andy Carroll ey? Would be a major coup for the club and would fit into Big Sam’s style of play but lets not get carried away and wait until we see it on the official Hammers website.

Anyway, looking at our opening fixtures I don’t see any reason why we can’t have a decent points total ahead of Arsenal’s visit to the Boleyn (the Gunners will provide us with an easy three points, they just hate playing us in recent times)

All these are ultimately ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ BUT predicting the outcome of our beloved Hammers results during the (several) pre match pints is all part of the match day experience and naturally by ‘predicting’ I mean having a little flutter.

Bet At Home are making the mighty Irons favourites to take all three points on the opening day at 2.35/1 and the Hammers are among the favourites to score the first goal of the Premier League season at 1.70/1 (I’ll be having a tenner on this with the goalscorer being our future England captain, James Tomkins).

Right, I’m going to wrap this up because I’m going to check the odds on the Spuds getting relegated…COYI!
