RVT ready for the PL?

|

Ricardo Vaz Te made an instant impact since his January move from Barnsley on deadline day which turned out to be the bargain of the window as he bagged 10 goals in 15 appearances culminating in his 87th minute winner at Wembley to send the Hammers back to the Premier League.

Now as the Hammers prepare for their latest trip to the Premier League, the Irons will hope that the Portuguese winger can continue his fine form in the top league in England.

The fastest growing Hammers website is now on Facebook, click the link to be entered into our up and coming competitions http://www.facebook.com/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

Fans were left worried as rumours surfaced the Vaz Te would like to return home to his native Portugal; but having quashed such rumours he is now preparing for his latest adventure in his incredible career which has seen him play in the Premier League at an early age for Bolton Wanderers before moving all round the world including stints in Greece and Scotland in attempts to rejuvenate his faltering career following his departure from Bolton in 2010.

It now appears however he has found his new home in East London under the manager who gave him his first chance. Settled and brimming with confidence could Vaz Te be a hit in the Premier League?

We’ve seen how players who come out of the Championship on form can have an instant impact in the Premier League with Scott Sinclair and Grant Holt having storming seasons with Swansea and Norwich City respectively. I see no reason why Ricardo can’t have a similar effect for the Hammers. He has all the attributes to cause trouble despite his inexperience in the top division in England. He is speedy, silky and skilful and when he is on his game is one of the best finishers at the club.

Having established himself as a firm fans favourite with his “he scores when he wants” chant, Vaz Te will hope that the home and away faithful will have plenty of opportunities to get their vocal chords going. If his finishes in the Brighton game towards the end of last season are anything to go by when on form he will cause any top Premier League goalkeeper trouble. His overhead kick was a clear winner of goal of the season and is the best goal I’ve seen at the Boleyn in a long time.

With his speed down the left and flair with a potential new right winger coming in the Irons frontline is looking strong as the Hammers embark on their latest Premier League adventure. With a point to prove after his last efforts in the Premier league with Bolton I firmly believe this could be Vaz Te’s chance to live his dream and make all his effort at clubs like Panionos and Barnsley worthwhile and take the Premier League by storm.

I think Ricardo Vaz Te could be West Ham’s Scott Sinclair this season, speedy and a class act on the ball, with the experience of Nolan and Guti who has joined the Austria training camp, with the bullish Diame behind him, I firmly believe this is his season.

Come on you Irons!

because west ham are massive? how patronising.

I saw RVT in pre season last year and he was terrible! It’s already been written that the coaches at Barnsley broke him down, started again and made him the player he is today! For that you cannot give any credit to Allardyce other than for buying a player who was in form! Also BFC was the only club out there to give RVT a chance so by saying ‘efforts at clubs like Barnsley’ is highly insulting
