So the rumour mill has been in full flow with regards to our beloved club. West Ham have been linked with the likes of Eljero Elia, Grant Holt, Luc Castaignos, Burak Yilmaz, Wilfried Zaha and Nathaniel Clyne to name but a few!
Despite all the names we’ve been linked with; so far only Mohamed Diame has made the transition from tabloid transfer gossip to a signed, sealed and delivered Hammer. So this rumour mill…is it exciting or just frustrating?

I’d argue a bit of both really; last summer after we’d dropped meekly out of the elite we could only dream of being linked with such illustrious names. The quality of the players we’re being linked with is allowing us all to dream of not merely making up the numbers in the prem but as our Vice-Chairman Karren Brady put it ‘have a go’ at genuinely competing. I am of the opinion that next season the usual top 6/7 will be the same but that if we can bring in a smattering of the names continually being linked with us…there’s no reason we couldn’t be challenging to finish just below that established order. There is a lot of dross in the league; if we’re bold enough we can overtake them.
The frustrating part of being linked with nigh on every player under the sun is waiting for the deals to formulate! Patience is a virtue lacking in football fans; we want it all and we want it now, it’s the nature of the best I’m afraid. How long have we been linked with Grant Holt now? How many times in past few weeks have we heard whispers the deal is almost complete from people supposedly in the know?

I guess the key is to try and show some restraint, what will be will be, we were all thrilled with the signing of Diame and more signings of that calibre and we can all be rightly confident of avoiding the typical end of season drama that’s the modern day hallmark of West Ham United.
Grant holt is not worth 6 million but Zaha and Clyne would be worth 12 the boy from inter on loan . Then we need to look at a cb and maybe a cf .

2 cb’s-really need this for a long hard season
rhys williams-quality midfielder who can also play cb and rb
Claudio yacob-never heard of him till recently but looks a good player
matt jarvis-quality wide man with pace and good crosser
scott sinclair-pace pace and more pace
matt phillips-would provide quality back up and rotation with jarvis and sinclair
cf-tim matvz from psv would be worth a look,charlie austin from burnley or anyone else who knows where the back of the net is,maybe a cheeky bid for danny graham?
We should make snodgrass Our next signing.he keeps possession well an links the midfield and forwards together plus he scores goals.could be our Modric. Premiership class easy
Snodgrass would be a decent shout, one of the better players in the champ last season. Holt would be worth 6 mil if he was a few years younger, and had a few years prem experience, but he doesn’t so I’m worried this will be bad business. Time will tell!

Not sure who we need but we do need new faces. I am concerned that we will be linked with loads of young exciting players and end up with gallas on a free a past it Benayoun grant Holt. We need to be brave.
Zaha would be a great signing for the future. Rumours circulating about Wang Haibo signing for us. Not heard of him until today, but from videos he looks like a great finisher. Him and Zaha and i’m a happy hammer
