FIVE things you need to know about West Ham’s newest signing

|

Nathan Mabi-Mavila is set to sign for West Ham, Who? I here you cry, well after searching through the internet for any information; I will try to enlighten you further.

Here are just 5 things I have learnt about West Ham’s next signing.

  1. First and foremost where does he play I hear you ask, well he is a young promising left back, who at 16 is clearly signed for the future rather than the present. Signed from the Wycombe academy the Irons have high hopes he could be a star of the future.
  2. Nathan is naturally a left footed player and can play anywhere on the left hand side. He tweeted his pride at playing at such a prestigious academy: “@N_Mavila Wycombe have produced so much, devastated for the youth, hopefully all good enough to get another club @wwfc”. Following the shutting down of the centre of excellence.
  1. Nathan was born in South London, he joined the Chairboys academy at the age of 13, is an attacking left back; who loves to bomb forward. It is said that he is a very hot prospect, and the Hammers had to beat a number of clubs to his signing.
  2. Being from South London, you would expect him to support, Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace or Millwall, but like most of his generation these days his head is turned by glory, and he supports Manchester United, as well as Wycombe of course.
  3. At the age of just 14, a series of impressive displays meant he received a call up to Richard Dobson’s under 18’s side despite his tender age. Following an impressive season, the youngster won an end of season award which can be seen on his twitter page. It is thought he is in the mould of Ashley Cole as he is described as an athletic, attack minded left sided player.

With little information, that was all I could find, but if the rumours are true the Hammers could have secured a hot prospect and a future star, so let’s welcome this 16 year old to the West Ham family. If you want to directly welcome him tweet him @N_Mavila.

Come on you Irons!
