FIVE Players West Ham should sign from the relegated Premier League clubs

|

If the Hammers make it to the Premier League next season it’s obvious to most of us that our current crop will not cut the mustard in the top division. With money likely to be tight the two David’s will have to be shrewd in how they spend their pennies and the relegated clubs will provide a chance to get some quality players at a knock down price.

So who would I buy if I were Big and called Sam?

The fastest growing Hammers website is now on Facebook, click the link to be entered into our up and coming competitions http://www.facebook.com/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

1) Junior Hoilett: The Blackburn Striker/Winger has come of age in the Premier League this season with his dazzling wing play and an eye for the spectacular. A reported contract dispute would work in the Hammers favour if a deal can be done.

2) Matt Jarvis: The England international has been a diamond in the rough for a struggling Wolves side this campaign. Whenever I saw Jarvis play against the Hammers he caused no end of problems for our defenders.

3) Djibril Cisse: West Ham nearly signed Cisse when he left Liverpool only for Marseille to steal in at the last moment and turn the strikers head. Cisse certainly has a few anger management issues he has to work through but in good form he is deadly.

4) Kevin Doyle: A proven Premier League striker who has the attitude for a fight at the bottom of the table. Over the years Doyle has scored some vital goals for the Wanderers and would bring quality and hard work to our side.

5) Victor Moses: The ex Palace striker is really showing some promise at Wigan, he would provide West Ham’s attack with the pace and skills that are essential if we are to challenge at the top level.

Ever dreamt about getting paid for reading about West Ham? Well now you can make dreams a reality http://bit.ly/ffc-foreverwestham

Now before I get shot down I realise that all these players are attackers but defences that get relegated are not what we should be looking for, we will need to look higher up the league to source our defensive line for the Premier League.

Another premature article. Do we know which teams are going to be relegated yet? No. More importantly, do we know what division West Ham will be in next season? No. Let’s wait until things shake out before we start speculating. We’ll have all summer for that.

    Cisse???!! ARE YOU MENTAL??

  • Hammersam says:

Hollitt will pick us over arsenal, spuds and newcastle? Dont think so.

Moses had the spanish giants looking at him early season no chance.

On realistic is Doyle and hes pants

Fair play on the optimism mate, but I fear it’s misplaced. Hoilett is a complete non starter, he’s off to Arsenal, Spurs or some other top 6 prem team.

Jarvis is a decent shout but again, I think other clubs will be after him.

Cisse…? Are you joking? The guy is a massive liability, who demands huge wages and doesn’t have an ounce of team spitit. Granted, he can be a good goalscorer. But far, far too much baggage.

Doyle im on the fence over. I’ve always rated him but he’s been out of form and struggling to get into a very poor Wolves team. Probably the most realistic suggestion though.

As for Moses; he tore Man Utd apart the other night and has done it to many great prem teams. His sights will be set a lot higher, and he might even stay at Wigan. They should stay up and why would he want to leave a team that plays magnificent football under Martinez, that suits his game to a tee, just to come to an Allardyce team thats going to bypass him with endless long balls. I just don’t see it.

All of these are based on a wild assumption that we’ll get promoted through the play off’s too. Another non starter in my opinion. We have shown how vulnerable we are under pressure, and theres no bigger pressure than the play off’s. Not to mention we haven’t exactly done great against Birmingham and Cardiff, and Blackpool on their day can beat anyone in this division. It’s going to be very, very tough.
