Big Sam calls for killer instinct

|

Big Sam has urged his players to find the killer instinct to secure the clubs automatic promotion spot, whether it’ll be 1st or 2nd place.

West Ham face Reading at the weekend, and this could turn nasty if we don’t secure the three points needed to catch up the two teams that are perched at the top of the Championship league

table.

The West Ham manager said “We’ve had seven draws and three victories out of 10 but it should be the other way round,” he told the club website.

“It’s costing us dear but we’re still in with a shout with eight massive games to go so let’s turn the draws back into victories.

“It’s a big game as it’s our game in hand and then after that it’s Reading, so if we really want to get automatic promotion we’ve got to beat Peterborough. If we beat Reading (as well) we know we go back to second spot.

“It’s sad we can’t go there on the crest of a wave after getting the three points we deserved (against Burnley on Saturday). We should have won 4-2 or 5-2 or 6-3.”

Sam knows that 1 point isn’t enough and draws have to turn into 3 points as soon as possible as the season is beginning to come to a climax and West Ham certainly don’t want to be playing the play

offs at all, playing Russian roulette isn’t an option. Remember the time we got relegated from the Premier League? And didn’t get back into the Premiership because we lost in the play-off finals. West Ham doesn’t want a repeat of that performance do they?
