Remember this lazy so and so?

|

This midfielder joined us in the 2002-03 season on loan from French giants PSG. On his arrival, he talked the talk; how he knew we were a ‘good young team’ and that he wanted to stay with the Hammers for ‘many years’ after the loan period.

Cisse professed to know Schemmel – let’s face it, never a good sign – and fellow Frenchman Frederic Kanoute.

But unfortunately, like Kanoute he seemed to display some laziness and a general lack of motivation on the pitch, despite having our young talent to feed off. But after Green Street, where did Cisse turn up?

After said loan period, PSG shipped Cisse off to ply his wares for Monaco, as he failed to set Upton Park alight with his play. But it doesn’t like it worked out for him there either, with them not choosing to extend the move.

After Monaco he made a move to Turkish side Besiktas, linking well with Fabian Ernst during his two year spell there.

After Besiktas came Marseille, where Cisse spent a further two seasons. And if you wanted to know where you can catch a glimpse of Cisse now, he plays for French Ligue 1 side Auxerre, who he joined in August 2011.

I wouldn’t say it didn’t work out for him in his one and only season at monaco, he palyed nearly every game in a team that made it to the champions league final.
He infact played so well that season that PSG wanted him back (as he was only on loan) then went on to win the french club!

I remember thinking at the time, is the same cisse who minced around the Boleyn!

  • My brother recommended I might like this web site. He was once totally right. This publish truly made my day. You cann’t imagine simply how much time I had spent for this info! Thank you!
